After working as a certified veterinary technician at Heritage Pet Hospital for 6 years, I realized my passion and true calling aligned more closely with training and behavior. I started taking continuing education from Dr. Sophia Yin, Dr. Karen Overall, Dr. Haug, Dr. Duxburry, Julie Shaw, Ken Rameriz, and numerous other leading trainers in the world, I quickly realized we could teach our animals anything without harm and force! When you train without harm and force you minimize the risk of behavior problems and keep the bond and trust strong! I was co-owner of Think Positive Pets Training and Behavior and taught puppy classes and basic manners, however once I had baby number 3 I realized I needed to be home more. After a year off and attending the International Association of Animal Behavior Conference, I realized I missed it and had so much amazing information to share that I decided to slowly get back into it. With over 1500 hours of training and behavior modification plans implemented, and over 200 hours of continuing education from the fields leading trainers and behaviorist I am confident I can help you come to a peaceful solution that will strengthen the bond between you and Fido!
I promise to only utilize tools that do no harm. I will never recommend a prong, chock, or shock collar as they are not needed nor are they safe.
