Holiday puppies are magical. Holiday chaos… not so much!

How the Forever Fido Christmas Experience Works

We’ve designed this program to be joyful for families and healthy for puppies.
Step 1 – Choose Your Puppy BEFORE Christmas
Meet our available puppies, learn their personalities, ask questions, and we’ll help you choose the one that feels like the perfect match.
You’ll have opportunities to come fall in love and bond with your puppy through puppy prep training sessions at the farm and picture and personality updates along the way!

Step 2 – Celebrate the Gift, Not the Chaos
On Christmas morning, you’ll have everything you need to make it special:
  • A photo of your puppy
  • A pawprint ornament or keepsake
  • Puppy presents and essentials from our from our sponsors!

You get the magic of a Christmas puppy without adding house training and sleepless nights to an already hectic season.

Step 3 – We Train, Socialize & Keep Your Puppy Safe
Your puppy stays with us through the holiday season. During that time, they live in a structured, nurturing environment focused on confidence and good habits.

Step 4 – Bring Home Your Puppy in the New Year
Once the decorations come down and routines return, your puppy comes home ready to start life with you — a little older, a lot more prepared, and eager to bond with their forever family.

What Your Puppy Gets For Christmas:

FAQS

Q1: When does my puppy actually come home?
We’ll schedule a go-home date with you at adoption time, usually after the holiday season when your family’s routine is closer to normal. That might be early January or slightly later.

Q2: Will my puppy still bond with us if they stay with you longer?
Yes. Puppies are incredibly capable of forming strong, healthy bonds. You’ll meet and choose your puppy, and you’re welcome to visit (as appropriate), send in items with your scent, and start building that relationship. When they come home, you’ll continue that bond with structure, affection, and consistency.

Q3: Is my puppy just in a kennel the whole time?
No. Puppies in this program follow a balance of rest, enrichment, training, play, and structured socialization. They are supervised, handled kindly, and given plenty of opportunities to learn about the world in a safe, thoughtful way.

Q4: Do we still need training at home?
Yes. Think of this program as a head start, not a finished product. We’ll lay the foundation and teach you how to continue the work. You’ll receive a send-home session and guidance so you can keep building on what your puppy has learned. Additional training support can be added by a trainer who knows your puppy best!

Q5: Can my child still have a “Christmas morning puppy reveal”?
Absolutely. Many families choose to wrap a photo of the puppy, a collar, a toy, or a little pawprint ornament. We’ll help you create a meaningful Christmas reveal without putting your new puppy into the middle of peak holiday chaos.

Q6: What is the adoption fee?

The adoption fee for Christmas Puppy, training, and supplies is $450.

Q7: What will my puppy have done prior to adoption?

Your puppy will have been dewormed multiple times, microchipped, vaccinated according to age appropriate guidelines, examined by our vet partner, and fed high quality dog food and treats. Your puppy will NOT be spayed and neutered prior to 6 months due to overwhelming research supporting significant benefits from delaying spaying and neutering. We take a lot of time and effort into raising emotionally balanced and healthy puppy, so delaying spaying and neutering aligns with our mission of placing resilient family dogs.
